I love how every country has their own version of -what I call- “Empanadas”. Which is something wrapped or coated in bread then either fried, steamed or baked.

Indian Samosas, Indonesian pastel, Latin American empanadas, Chinese Bun, Italian Calzone, etc. and in Vietnam they call it Banh Xep. I don’t remember that these are filled with but apparently they were good enough to deserve a picture.
