Went out looking for the town of Elkport this weekend. It was flooded a few years back, then the federal government bought out all the properties, kicked out all 80 (or so) residents and leveled most of the town. All that is left is the Church (above) the bank and a machine shop. There is also a kids playground right center of “town”.
