The first half of June we were in Bandung at Selina’s parents. It was good to have a more permanent home. I started a morning exercise routine -that I’m trying to keep doing-, we also explored much of the city on a borrowed moped from a friend of William (Selina’s brother). It was good to spend time with their family during holiday (eid al-fitr = the end of Ramadan). We cooked dinner for them almost every day and for lunch we almost always went out to eat, here we went to a traditional Bandung restaurant and had some pan-fried fish in sweet soy sauce, tiny eggplant with spices and chicken. Not pictured tempeh, rice, morning glory and another water spinach dish I forget the name.

Some of the best food we’ve had on this trip is in Indonesia and SE Asia.
