Parked vehicles from random walks in Athens
It was interesting to see how run down the city seemed, I guess their economy hasn’t fully recovered yet. I think Selina read somewhere unemployment is still very high.
We would have loved to explore other areas, but unfortunately Greece is part of the Schengen Visa and we need our days for the workaway and walk in Spain. So after four days of walking and exploring the food in Athens we took the overnight bus to Albania where we ended up hiking in the Balkan peaks. Pictures to follow.
I also heard from someone recently that Greece is a rough place to visit right now bc of their economic state. Anyways, looks like you’re having fun! 🙂
We definitely felt uneasy is some neighborhoods, but I suppose that’s part of traveling.
